Terms of service
The terms for using Returo, the returns and exchanges app for Shopify stores: plans and billing, your data, acceptable use, availability, liability and how to end.
These terms apply between Flowett AB (org. no. 559518-8029), Sweden, which provides Returo (“Returo”, “we”), and the business that installs Returo in its Shopify store (“you”). By installing Returo you accept these terms and the data processing agreement, which is part of them. Returo is for businesses; it is not offered to consumers.
1. The service
Returo is a Shopify app for returns and exchanges: a returns portal for your customers, return labels through your carrier, refunds, gift cards and exchanges through Shopify, and statistics about your returns. Features may change as we improve the app. We will not remove a core feature of your plan during a billing period without telling you first.
2. Plans and billing
- Plans and prices are shown on Shopify’s plan page when you install Returo, and in the app under Settings → Plan. You can change or cancel your plan there at any time.
- Every charge is billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, under Shopify’s terms. We do not bill you directly.
- A plan runs in 30-day periods. Upgrades and downgrades take effect as Shopify applies them. Except where the law requires otherwise, charges already made are not refunded.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice; you can cancel before then.
3. Your responsibilities
- You decide how returns work in your store (return window, options, fees, rules) and are responsible for those choices towards your customers, including consumer law such as the right of withdrawal.
- You are the controller of your customers’ personal data and must have a legal basis to let Returo process it. Returo processes it on your behalf under the data processing agreement.
- Your carrier agreements, carrier credentials and the labels booked on them are yours. Carrier charges are billed by the carrier.
- Keep your Shopify account secure. Do not use Returo for anything unlawful, to send unsolicited marketing, or to interfere with the app or other stores.
4. Your data
Your store’s data stays yours. We use it only to provide Returo to you, as described in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement. We do not sell it. When you uninstall Returo, Shopify asks us to erase your data and we delete it (see the data processing agreement, section 7).
5. Availability and support
We aim to keep Returo available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Shopify, carriers, email providers and hosting can affect what Returo can do. Support: support@returo.io and the chat on returo.io.
6. Intellectual property
Returo, its software and content belong to Flowett AB. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Returo in your store while these terms apply. Feedback you give us may be used to improve Returo.
7. Liability
- Returo is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data that Shopify or you hold, or losses caused by Shopify, carriers or other third parties.
- Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for Returo in that period.
- These limits do not apply to loss caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow them.
8. Ending
You can stop at any time by uninstalling Returo; Shopify ends the billing. We may suspend or end your use of Returo if you break these terms, with notice where reasonable, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason. Sections 4, 7 and 9 continue after the end.
9. Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms with at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app; using Returo after the change means you accept it. These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court as the first instance.
